Knot is a personal map and journaling app. Here's what you need to know about your data.
Nothing is sent to any server. All data — your pins, journal entries, and display name — is stored only on your device using local storage.
Knot accesses your device's GPS to show your position on the map and let you drop pins. Your location is never transmitted off your device.
Knot accesses your photo library only when you explicitly choose to attach a photo to a pin. Photos are stored locally on your device.
On Android, map tiles are provided by Google Maps — Google's privacy policy applies to those requests. On iOS, map tiles are provided by Apple Maps — Apple's privacy policy applies.
Delete the app to remove all stored data. You can also go to Settings → Clear All Pins or Clear All Journal Entries to delete specific data.
